Through the collaborative partnership between G-SIG and OXFAM in Timor-Leste, we have successfully implemented a digital mapping project in the RAEOA (Oecusse) region. This initiative was developed using a collaborative and inclusive approach, actively engaging community members throughout the process. The project not only focused on producing maps but also on building local capacity by providing training sessions and practical demonstrations on digital technologies and GIS-based mapping tools. As a result, communities gained improved knowledge and skills to collect, analyze, and visualize geographic data relevant to their local environment.
To explore this digital mapping initiative further, you may access detailed information and insights through the interactive map presented below.
